Event FAQ
How do minimum spends work?
·Minimum spends in our Billiards Parlor can be met by hosts, guests or a combination of the two. Your guests can open individual tabs, or you can run a single tab, which you can close out to one or as many credit cards as you might like to split it between.
·At the slated end time of your event, the total spend is calculated to determine whether the minimum spend was met. If it has not been met by the event's slated end time, the difference is added to the pre-determined credit card of the host.
Can I run a single group tab to a certain dollar amount?
·A group tab to a limit of your choosing works for us! Simply let us know the spend limit prior to the start of your event and we will quietly let you know once the limit has been reached. At that point, your guests would be informed the “open bar” portion of the event was over and they would be free to open their own individual bar tabs.
If my guests run individual tabs, how do they count toward the minimum spend?
·When ordering, your guests should inform Bartenders & Servers they are with your event. This will ensure all their purchases count towards your minimum spend agreement.
·We ask that you please encourage your guests to open tabs with credit cards, as opposed to attempting to purchase single drinks or single rounds one at a time. When hosting a group of this size, single drink or single round purchases can create an unnecessarily chaotic environment, making it difficult for your guests to acquire drinks in a timely fashion
Do you offer drink packages?
·For Private Events in our Billiards Parlor, bar tabs are run by consumption - simply pay for what is ordered, with no hidden fees or charges! All food & drink purchased during your event, including all in-house catering orders, count towards your minimum spend agreement.
Do you allow outside Catering?
·We are only able to host outside catering for Fully Private Events. Let us know if there was something in particular you were thinking about, and we will let you know if we are able to accommodate.
Can I bring in my own dessert?
·You may absolutely bring a cake or cupcakes, we only ask that you also supply any necessary plates or cutlery, though we are able to supply you with a serving knife.
With a reservation, can I play my own music?
·The music in our Parlor is directly connected to the system in our Main Barroom. We are only able to host outside music, playlists or DJs for Fully Private Events.
What is the music at The Richardson like?
·The music selection at The Richardson consists of a highly curated library of pre-1970's Americana. Selections include, but are not limited to, Blues, Rhythm-n-Blues, Rock-n-Roll, Country, Rockabilly, Soul & Jazz. In addition, non-Americana genres, such as Jamaican Rhythms & Latin Jazz, may be included, representing trends that were strongly influenced by early 20th Century American music.
·You can always tune in to our live radio feed at here where we are broadcasting live from behind the bar 24/7!
Can I bring in decorations?
·You may absolutely bring in decorations, we only ask that they do not interfere with other guests' enjoyment of the space and that anything brought in by your event is removed by your event's slated end time.
How early can I arrive to decorate my reserved area?
·For events in our Parlor & Main Barroom, we are able give you access to the space 15~30 minutes prior to the slated start time of your event.
Can the pool table be covered for part of the event?
·We can absolutely cover the pool table for your Parlor event. If you are interested in catering for your event, we highly suggest the pool table be covered.
·If you begin your event with a covered pool table, it will be uncovered at the slated end time of your event. We are able to uncover the table prior to this if you wish.
·If you begin your event with the pool table open for play, we are unable to cover it part way through your event.
·Please note, there is a $250 cleaning fee for any damage to the table fabric
Can I reserve space on your patio?
·Outdoor seating first come, first served.
Do you allow children?
·We allow minors until 8pm.
Are tax & gratuity included in the minimum spend figures?
·All minimum spend figures are listed pre- tax & gratuity. Group tabs are subject to an automatic 20% gratuity. All sales are subject to New York State sales tax.
What is the administrative fee?
·Administrative fees are collected at the time of your event confirmation. We will email you an invoice, which can easily be settled via credit card. This fee ensures you have a point of contact every step of the way as we assist in planning your event. Administrative fees are non-negotiable, non-refundable and do not count towards minimum spend agreements.
